Despite the Moon not even being born at the time of sunset on Sunday 9th December in Saudi Arabia, the High Judiciary Council of Saudi Arabia announced the start of Zul-Hijjah.

EID-AL-ADHA CAN NOT BE ON WEDNESDAY 19TH DECEMBER 2007 !

This decision will forced millions of pilgrims to perform their Hajj on the wrong day (18TH) and will result in many Muslims to celebrate their Eid—Al-Adha on the wrong day (19TH).

Please do not follow Saudi Arabia blindly !  How did Saudi Arabia see a moon which was not born ? There are hundreds of independent astronomical websites, all confirming that that the decision of Saudi Arabia was not based on the sighting the new Moon.

Our Holy Prophet (PBUH) made it very clear; Start the Islamic month when the Moon is SEEN. How can you see a moon which is yet to be born on the evening of the 9th in much of the world!

The correct day for Eid-Al-Adha is Friday 21st December for the East (Australia, Pakistan etc) and Thursday 20th December for the rest of the World (including the UK).
