Mosques Opening Announcement
In accordance with the Government Guidelines, The Islamic Centre Leicester will (In sha Allah) re-open its Central Mosque (Conduit Street) and Leicester Mosque (Sutherland Street) for five-time congregational prayers (Salah with Jamaat) from Wednesday 2nd December 2020, starting with Fajar Salah.
For attendees, the following rules will be in place:
- Mosques will open only 15 minutes before Jama’at time
- Bring your own Prayer Mat (Musallah) and a carrier bag for your shoes
- Perform Wuḍū from Home (Ablution & toilet facilities will be unavailable)
- Face Mask will be compulsory to enter the mosque premises
- Wash or sanitise your hands on entering/leaving the mosque premises
- Mosques will be open for congregational prayers (Fard salah) only, please pray all your Sunnah and Nawafil at home
- To support the NHS Track & Trace System, please bring a piece of paper with your Name & Telephone Number and place it into the designated Box while entering the mosque.
- Those shielding, the elderly and children should pray at home
- You must not attend the mosque if you are ill and/or have any Covid-19 symptoms
- Ladies prayer facilities for Juma Slaah will be available
Please support our volunteers by observing the government guidelines and following the signage displayed inside the mosques.
